CUBE ROCK - MT Cameron Range NE Tas

Situated on the south eastern aspect of the Mt Cameron range, near South Mt Cameron, the walk to Cube Rock begins behind Blue Lake. The track crosses Sapphire Creek, then climbs steadily for two kms to Windy Ridge and the rock. Besides the dramatic rock formation of cube rock, a special feature of the walk is the presence of the endemic granite heath (Epacris graniticola) and the feathery heath (Pentachondra involucrate) as well as Tasmania’s only native rock orchid, the Dockrillia striolata. Approximately 270 metres elevation gain.
