Intro to Radio Controled Airplanes with the Chain-O-Lakes Eagles

Introduction to RC airplanes

Ages 9 and up

Classroom session: June 8th, 1 to 4 PM

Location: Woodscreek Park Building - 1416 Willow Tree Dr, Crystal Lake IL

Discover the thrill of RC airplanes with the CL Eagles Club, an Acadeny of Model Aeronautics Gold Leader Club! This two-part program teaches you how to get started in the RC hobby safely,affordably, and most importantly - without crashing. No prior experience or investment is needed.

Day 1 (at Woodscreek Park)
-Basics of plane and radio operation, flight fundementals, and safety
- Overview of trainer plane, radios, costs, and setup
_Guidance on registration, insurance and safety protocols

Day 2 (at the club flying field in Hebron, IL as scheduled on Day 1)
-Hands-on flying with a club trainer plane and instructor using a "buddy box"
-One-on-one follow-up sessions available, weather permitting

Cost: Crystal Lake Residents $99.00 Non Resident $129.00 (includes the use of club trainer aircraft and radios on Day 2)
