The Ghost Train - Launch Night

Before the Christmas celebrations begin at the Clubhouse on December 5th, come along to the presentation evening for “The Ghost Train” at 7.00pm and hear director Ros Broyd’s vision for this comedy thriller.

Due to be performed at the Clubhouse on 8th, 9th, 10th, and 11th April, the show promises to be a spine-tingling piece with a cast of 4 women and 6 men of varied ages. Auditions will be held on Sunday 11th January at 6pm with any call backs on Monday 12th at 7.30pm. The Monday evening will also be an opportunity for anyone who cannot make the Sunday auditions to come along.

Arnold Ridley, perhaps better known as Private Godfrey in Dad’s Army, wrote his classic comedy thriller, The Ghost Train, in 1925 and it has been a firm favourite with theatre companies ever since. The plot involves six passengers who find themselves stranded late at night in the dilapidated waiting room of an isolated Cornish railway station. Ignoring the ghostly tales and dire warnings of the stationmaster, they decide to stay where they are until morning - with terrifying consequences.
