Dogwood Exchange, 4950 Hwy 127 S Crossville, TN will be holding a Quilts for Veterans Quilting Retreat beginning Sunday, September 14th through Friday, September 19th, 2025.
Each participant will need to bring patriotic colors or patterned fabric to complete at least one (design of their choice) 60x80 top quilt. Retreat participants quilt tops will then be donated to a local Quilt of Valor group. Quilt tops donated will be completed by the receiving group. They are responsible for supplying the batting and backing fabric for each of these quilts.
Participants will also have the privilege of witnessing a Quilt of Valor being awarded to a deserving Veteran during the retreat.
Participants are free to work on other projects after their initial quilt top has been completed.
Due to the volunteer nature of this retreat, the cost has been discounted to $225 per person for this 5 night retreat. A non refundable $100 deposit is due at the time of registration. The remaining balance of $125 is due upon arrival. Once registered, if you are unable to attend you may transfer your deposit to someone of your choosing but Dogwood Exchange must be made aware of the change.
Participants will arrive at 2 pm CST on Sunday, September 14th and depart at 10 am CST on Friday, September 19th.
Food is not provided during this retreat. Participants are requested to provide a snack that can be enjoyed by the group.
This group is limited to 12 participants. Each participant will have their own twin bed in a dorm style setting. (8 in the cabin with 2 bathrooms and 4 in the barn with a bathroom)
A private shopping time on Monday, 9/15 at 11am has been schedule with local fabric store, Grandma’s House. Jane will be offering discounts and grab bags.
