Have you ever wanted to capture your stories, memories, or creative ideas inside a one-of-a-kind handmade journal? In this hands-on class, Michele Allen (aka βCheleβ of My Chele Belle Creations from Wichita, KS will guide you through the process of building and decorating your very own junk journal from start to finish.
This two-part class is designed for beginners and seasoned creatives alike:
Part One: Building the Foundation
Learn how to create your journal cover and sew in signatures (the stitched paper sections that form the heart of your journal). Youβll walk away with a sturdy, bound book thatβs ready for your unique style.
STUDENTS WILL BREAK FOR LUNCH
Part Two: Personalizing & Decorating
After a short break, weβll dive into adding character and charm. Using curated ephemera, papers, and embellishments, youβll learn layering, collage, pocket and tuck-spot techniques that bring your journal to life.
Whatβs Included:
A starter kit (cover, papers, and a handful of ephemera)
Use of classroom tools (glue, scissors, etc.)
Guided instruction and tips to spark your creativity
Optional Add-ons:
More elaborate unique journal kits will be available for purchase to expand your journaling possibilities.
This two part class will be held at Dogwood Exchange, 4950 Hwy 127 S Crossville TN on Saturday November 8th from 9-5 CST. This class is limited to 12 students with a class fee of $77. Students are welcome to bring drinks and snacks to eat during the lunch break. Fridge and microwave are available.
