Preschool Maple Sugaring Adventure

RESCHEDULED: This program has been rescheduled to Friday, February 27th, 1:30-3pm due to snow accumulation.

Join us to learn how to tap a tree and about the process of making syrup - and also get to taste some! Families will meet in front of the Wigwam before learning about how maple syrup is made from one of the naturalists at the Trailside Museum. With our remaining time we can explore the trails around the museum and inside of the museum itself. If the snow is good, bring a sled to brave the legendary Pell Hill next to the museum!

This program is designed for ages 2-6 years, but all ages are welcome. Sturdy shoes and warm layers are suggested. Heavy rain and/or other inclement weather reschedules or cancels (we still meet in light to steady rain with appropriate clothing/umbrellas).

Space is limited so advance registration is required. We expect this program to be fully subscribed with a waitlist, so PLEASE DO NOT NO SHOW.

Ward Pound Ridge Reservation is located at Reservation Rd., Pound Ridge, NY 10576. The entrance is off of Route 121/Old Post Rd. just south of Route 35. After passing the gatehouse, keep driving straight about a mile until you get to a stop sign. The Trailside Museum will be on the right, and there are two large parking lots available on either side.
