Library Learning Lab: Chess

Visit the Crookston Public Library anytime between 6:00 and 7:30 on Monday, October 20th to learn more about the game of chess!

This is a come and go when you like event for children in elementary and middle school. There will be several mini-games set up for children (and adults) to learn how the different chess pieces can move.

For those who already have an understanding of chess, come and play a game or try your hand at laser chess or solitaire chess. Parents, caregivers and children can also browse some of the resources the library has available to delve into the game of chess after this event ends.

Parents and caregivers are highly encouraged to attend with children, as this is a self-teaching event which may require individualized help with reading and following directions.
