TOM's Talks - Dave Vernon

Wed 24th September – TOM’s Talks – Dave Vernon – Admission Free

David is a local up-and-coming poet and is from Wistaston.

He writes poems that are humorous, repulsive and self-deprecating, offering a jaundiced but sharp-witted look at the modern world and the people that inhabit it. His work presents a colourful and engaging take on everything from dating anorexics to Greggs addiction and from celebrity animals to the sexual charge of launderettes.

His debut collection, Sauce, was released on May 22nd and is available in local bookshops and on the websites of Amazon and Waterstones. It will also be available to buy on the night.
