Krampus is coming to town

Spook Hollow is sending one of our most feared holiday visitors to Marquette Heights. Krampus will be waiting in the City Council Chambers behind the Fire Department, ready to make sure everyone is staying on the nice list. If not he may have a few reminders of his own.

In old Alpine folklore Krampus was the dark companion of Saint Nicholas. While Saint Nick rewarded good children Krampus handled the naughty ones. With his horns cloven hooves and bundle of birch sticks he roamed the winter nights searching for those who misbehaved. His job was simple keep the balance between holiday joy and winter fear.

Swing through during the Fire Department event step inside if you dare and grab a photo with the creature who brings a little chill to the Christmas season. It is the perfect way to mix merry with scary as we head into the holidays.
