𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗙𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗤𝘂𝗲𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 - 𝗔𝗻 𝗢𝗽𝗲𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗗𝗶𝘀𝗰𝘂𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻
For generations, faith and queerness have often been seen as opposing forces, divided by misunderstanding, fear, and pain. Yet, for many, both are deeply personal parts of who they are. This gathering is about beginning an honest, compassionate conversation, one that makes compassionate room for both.
We live in a valley where spirituality and community are central to daily life, and it’s time to explore how those same values can also embrace and uplift our queer community.
This evening is open to everyone, whether you identify as queer or not, religious or not, curious, questioning, or simply looking to better understand the people you love. You are welcome here. We invite you to bring your questions, your faith, your curiosity, and your respect.
Our intention is that every queer individual, and every loved one who joins them, leaves this discussion feeling empowered, knowing that it is possible to hold both your faith and your queer identity with pride, confidence, and peace. You don’t have to choose between them; they can coexist beautifully within you.
This event is hosted in partnership with Trinity United Church, a proud ally of the queer community and a congregation committed to inclusion, love, and understanding. Trinity’s doors are always open, whether you wish to return for services or simply talk with their minister, Ken, about your journey.
