Come out to enjoy fresh air with your fellow secular folk! We’ll paddle kayaks and stand up paddle boards on a quiet section of Falls Lake where no motor boats are allowed. Some participants may gather for a picnic lunch after the paddle.
9:30 - 10:00 AM: Meet with rental company and get equipment
10:00 AM - 12:00 PM: Paddle Beaver Damn
12:15 PM - 1:00 PM: BYO Picnic Lunch
There is public access for those bringing their own boats. If you need to rent a boat, choose the self guided trip with half day duration and 9:30 meet time on the linked website. The rental company will deliver everything to the boat ramp. TFS can help you get comfortable in the boat.

What to expect at TFS Paddle events:
A quiet lake section or slow moving river
Very little or no motor boat wake
Beginner assistance and shallow water
Please check the wind forecast the night before the event to avoid uncomfortable waves. If you are an inexperienced paddler, some recommended limits are:
kayak on rivers, small lakes - 12 mph
kayak on large lakes - 8 mph
paddle board rivers, small lakes - 9 mph
paddle board large lakes - 6 mph
While this event is open to the public and all are welcome, this is not a time or place for debate or evangelizing. Anyone causing a disturbance or making others uncomfortable will be asked to leave.
