Dear valued members of Fishing Reports Victoria,
We’re proud to announce the launch of our Community Engagement Days, kicking off this September! Down to Fish Aus is supporting us in this mission and will be helping to make these events the best possible experience for everyone involved.
These events are our way of giving back to the community and encouraging people from all walks of life to experience the joy and benefits of fishing, something that means a great deal to many of us. Fishing is more than just a pastime. It’s an outlet, an escape, and a powerful tool for wellbeing. That’s why we’re passionate about sharing it with others.
Both men’s and women’s mental health is a topic close to our hearts, and we believe in fostering open conversations and supportive spaces. We’re also deeply committed to raising awareness about depression and suicide prevention.. issues that affect far too many in our community, often in silence. Just as importantly, we believe in allowing the younger generation to have a voice, encouraging them to be part of these conversations and the community we are building together.
We warmly invite everyone to join us for a free BBQ, a chat with our admin team (whether it’s about fishing or just life in general), and the chance to connect with others in a welcoming environment.
Each Community Day will include:
- A free BBQ for all attendees
- Tips and tricks for those new to fishing
- A chance to build friendships and community connections
- Fun activities and giveaways, including BCF vouchers
We will confirm the exact date as September approaches. Our first event will be held at Tooradin Reserve, opposite Tooradin Station. Until then, thank you for being part of our community. Equality, encouragement, and connection are at the heart of what we do and we’d love to see you there.
Warm regards,
The FRV Team
