Understanding Autism & The Significance of Play

We’re delighted to host an 𝐀𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐦 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐒𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 with 𝐃𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐝 𝐌𝐜𝐋𝐚𝐮𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐢𝐧 (𝐁𝐫𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐀𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐬𝐦) next Monday, 8th September at Portadown Wellness Centre Community Café (6.30pm – 8pm).
This free session will explore key areas including:

🔹 Autistic children and play – individual & group experiences
🔹 Autism in education and peer relationships
🔹 Double empathy & the importance of neurodivergent social-learning groups
🔹 Secure & insecure attachment (Bowlby & Ainsworth)
🔹 Practical strategies to support autistic children
💙 Whether you’re a parent, carer, educator, or simply want to understand more, this session is designed to offer insight, support, and connection.
