Ready to make a mess?

We’re gearing up to celebrate International Dot Day with a Messtival slated for Saturday, September 13, from 10am-noon at Muny Park’s soccer fields. Wilson Public Library has been celebrating International Dot Day for almost 15 years. Inspired by the book The Dot by Peter H Reynolds, International Dot Day encourages people to “just make a mark and see where it takes you.”

Homestead Bank is providing a foam pit, Waypoint Bank is doing sponge painting on canvas, the Haymaker Creative District is doing Chalk the Walk, Camp Comeca has a shaving cream surprise, Dawson County Extension is painting with pom poms, MomCo of Dawson County has balloon art, the Cozad Art Club is doing squeegee art, and the library has bubble painting and a pendulum pour. Sunny Sno will be on hand, too, selling sno-cones.

Be sure to wear mess-ready clothes and shoes as staining is possible, and tuck in a towel to dry off for good measure.
