DAR Art Contest Work Day

The National Society Daughters of the American Revolution created the Junior American Citizens (JAC) Committee to promote good citizenship and appreciation of American heritage and history among every school-age child in the United States. The Bonneville Chapter of DAR in Lexington would love for Dawson County kids to get involved, so we’re having a special “create” day at the library on Monday, October 20, from 9:30-11:30am for kids grades 1-12 to create a poster, stamp design, photo essay, banner, digital art, poem, short story, graphic novel/comic, or a community service project.
All projects to be judged must be completed and returned to the library along with a JAC Entry Form by Friday, November 21, at noon. For more information, please talk to the director, Laurie Yocom.
