The 2026 “It’s Uniquely Alleghany!” Photo Contest officially begins on Friday, August 1st with entries due to the Alleghany Highlands Chamber of Commerce & Tourism by Friday, September 26th at 5:00 pm.
𝐍𝐄𝐖 𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐒 𝐘𝐄𝐀𝐑! You may submit your photo(s) in one of the following two ways:
𝟏. 𝐃𝐢𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐮𝐛𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧
• Upload your photo(s) and completed submission form to a folder in Google Drive (or similar cloud storage platform).
• Make sure the folder is set to “Anyone with the link can view.”
• Email the shareable link to:

• Use the subject line: “Calendar Photo Submission – [Your Name]”
𝟐. 𝐏𝐡𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐒𝐮𝐛𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧
• Save your photo(s) and completed submission form on a USB flash drive or CD.
• Deliver or mail your USB drive or CD to the Alleghany Highlands Chamber of Commerce & Tourism building: 𝟏𝟏𝟎 𝐌𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐑𝐝. 𝐂𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐨𝐧, 𝐕𝐀 𝟐𝟒𝟒𝟐𝟐
• Please clearly label the drive or CD with your name.
The best overall photo will be featured on the cover of the 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 “𝐈𝐭’𝐬 𝐔𝐧𝐢𝐪𝐮𝐞𝐥𝐲 𝐀𝐥𝐥𝐞𝐠𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐲!” 𝐂𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐫. One winning entry will be featured on the Alleghany Highlands Chamber of Commerce & Tourism Christmas card.
Focus on what makes us "Uniquely Alleghany" whether it be a local icon, event, concert, festival, or beautiful landscape. If it is unique to the Alleghany Highlands, capture it on camera!
