About the event

Song & Soil - Mapping what Matters
A Creative Workshop at the Food Union Allotments

Led by Anastasija Pudāne

Duration: 2–3 hours

Open to all • No experience needed

About the Workshop

In this follow-up to Drawing from the Ground Up, we shift from close observation to inner landscapes. Mapping What Matters invites participants to explore their memories, emotions, and personal symbols through drawing, creative writing, and collaborative mark-making—all held in the calming presence of the allotment garden.

We will create our own intuitive “maps”—not of places, but of feelings, connections, and moments that matter.

The allotment will also be open for general gardening activities and tours.

After the workshop we'll retire to the camp fire for some live music courtesy of Izzie Derry.

Free to attend.

Donations towards materials are welcomed if you're able to contribute.

Facilitated by Anastasija Pudāne, an experienced artist and educator based in Coventry.
