Sacred Funk Quartet

Sacred Funk - a new Birmingham based project - explore ancient music through a contemporary lens bringing new life into traditional songs from Yoruba sacred music to English folk song

In the intimate historic space of the Anglican Chapel, The Sacred Funk Quartet will be performing their award winning album ‘Tales of Orisa’ exploring the songs of the Orisa characters from the Yoruba pantheon through styles drawn from across the African Diaspora.
