As part of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month and to remember Ben, our rock painting and rock hiding super fan, we are holding a #GoGold Rock Line at Spencer Park.
Many thanks to Friends of Spencer Park for their permission to do this in the park.
Anyone can paint a stone. It doesn't matter how young or old you are or how artistic you think you are, just go for it!
Please paint stones with a touch of gold if possible, and on the back write LOTR Coventry #PassTheSmile #GoGold and #CCAM (or whatever fits!)
You can drop your rocks off from Saturday at 11am on the brick wall by the bowling green. The stones should hopefully be left in place until 4pm on Sunday so people can see them all together.
Last year we painted over 450 stones, can you help us beat that number this year?
Feel free to take stones after 4pm on Sunday to keep or hide elsewhere. Any stones left over will be hidden in local parks and at the Quarry Gardens at Russells Garden Centre for others to find.
SUNDAY 28th: Paint-along in the park: weather permitting, you'll be able to paint your own stones on Sunday 28th September 1pm-4pm to add to the rock line or take home. Materials provided. Suitable for all ages.
No charge, but donations to Pass The Smile welcomed!
