We all love our pets like family and we decided to add to our family last year with a rescue puppy. As soon as we saw Buttercup, we fell in love and she was added to our family.
Once adopted, we had to take her to our Veterinarian to get the rest of her vaccines and for a full exam. At the appointment the doctor noticed her knee caps moved in and out of place, a condition called Luxating Patella. The doctor told us to keep an eye on them but said that she isn't too concerned about it and that most puppies grow out of it.
After 6 months we noticed that she started limping and lifting her back right leg when walking. We took her in for an exam and the doctor said that the patella in both knees have become severely luxated and permanently out of place and would need surgery.
Since this was diagnosed at her intial exam just after the time of adoption, our pet insurance considers it a pre-existing condition and won't cover the surgery. So now we are turning to the community for help with a fundraiser.
The event will have raffles, food by The Olde Theater Diner and live music featuring Panic Attack! playing all the hits from the 60's to the 2000's.
Buttercup will also be there to show everyone how grateful she is for the support!
