In response to the growing tide of nationalism being felt across Coventry and beyond, particularly the rise in displays of the St George’s flag in ways that can feel divisive or exclusionary — we're creating space for a different kind of message.
Join us for a series of gentle community banner and flag-making workshops celebrating love, welcome, solidarity and hope.
Inspired by the proud history of miner's banners and grassroots movements, we'll be sewing, painting, appliquéing, and stitching stories of inclusion onto fabric. These artworks will be hung around Coventry as a visible show of community spirit, unity and care for one another.
🧵 All are welcome – no craft experience needed. Just bring your values, your voice, and your creativity.
We’ll provide materials, support and a warm, welcoming space
Led by Flawed Mandrake Theatre as part of our DIALOGUE programme this is a free workshop with a pay as you feel meal included.
