Join Grapevine and Central England Law Centre on Wednesday 4 June for a drop-in event to help local people affected by the government's proposed changes to disability benefits.
Our staff will be on hand to help people respond to the national consultation at the 'Consultation Live' event in the first floor foyer at the Belgrade Theatre in Coventry city centre from 10am to 1pm.

If they go through, the government's proposed changes to disability benefits will mean:
⚠️ Changing the eligibility for the Daily Living component of the Personal Independence Payment (PIP)
⚠️ Freezing the health element of Universal Credit from 2026/2027. New claimants from April 2026 will also be given a much lower health element
⚠️ Disabled young people will be able to get Disability Living Allowance (DLA) until they are 18. But they won’t be eligible for the health element until they are 22
⚠️ Scrapping the Work Capability Assessment (WCA) in 2028. It will be replaced by the tougher PIP assessment.
It’s very important to respond to the consultation so that the government knows what disabled people and their friends and family think about these changes.

Please share this event with anyone you know who could be affected. The government consultation closes on 30 June.
