Dowsing Demonstration

Dowsing, Witching, Divining, Doodlebugging. These are some names for the use of small handheld rods or sticks to find things located underground. Is it real? Science has its doubts but some people say that it works.

On June 21, 2025, join Pottawattamie County Genealogical Society board member, Marilyn Erwin, as she demonstrates the use of dowsing rods to located unmarked graves. There is no charge and everyone is welcome. We will meet at the entrance to the Cemetery at 10:30 AM. Be aware that this is an outdoor event and will require some walking in the hilly cemetery.
