Looking for ways to create colourful memories for your children this Carnival?
Join us on Saturday 14th February, for a creative morning for children and parents with the ‘Mad Hats!’ workshop, taking place at the Inquisitor’s Palace, in Birgu, from 10:00am to 11:30am.
Inspired by the current ‘Hats Off!’ exhibition at the Inquisitor’s Palace, which houses the National Museum of Ethnography, this hands-on session invites children aged 3 to 6 to step into the fascinating world of hats – exploring how they were worn in the past and how styles have evolved across time, with the opportunity to see and observe a selection of original hats up close.
Young participants will then enjoy a creative workshop where they will design and decorate their very own hat to take home. With a wide selection of materials, colours, and playful accessories to choose from, children will be encouraged to let their imagination run wild. Whether adorned with sparkles, feathers, or bold decorations, each creation will be as unique as its maker.
The session is playful, interactive, and a perfect way for young ones to celebrate Carnival through learning, making and dressing up.
Tickets, including admission for one accompanying adult per child, are available online and from all Heritage Malta museums and sites.
