Birgufest 2025 returns on the 10th and 11th of October, bringing culture, music, and heritage to the historic city of Birgu.
On Saturday evening, Birgu’s charming streets will be transformed into a breathtaking spectacle, illuminated by thousands of candles. This magical tradition creates an unforgettable atmosphere that has become the highlight of the festival.
Across the two days, visitors can enjoy live music, cultural performances, historical re-enactments, art exhibitions, and activities for all ages. Local museums, churches, and historical sites will also open their doors, offering a unique opportunity to experience Birgu’s timeless heritage.
Food stalls, artisan markets, and traditional delicacies will complement the event, making Birgufest not just a cultural celebration, but also a community experience.
Organised by the Kunsill Lokali Birgu with the support of local partners, Birgufest is one of Malta’s most anticipated cultural festivals – a true celebration of history, tradition, and community spirit.
