Back to School in Wayne County

School is in session! Join Iowa author and essayist Dave Baker for this fun and informative look back on school in “the good old days.” We’ll start by covering what school looked like in Iowa during the 1800s. Then we’ll look at how schools evolved—from one room houses to grand brick buildings. It will be a fun and interactive night for all—whether you went to school, are going to school…or dropped out of school!

Dave will also have copies of his new history and photography book More Than Waypoints for sale following the program. More Than Waypoints tells the stories of all the incorporated communities from Iowa’s center 33 counties—including Wayne County!
