Our Featured Hero is Sheron Jones, the dedicated President of the Southern Arizona Gold Star Mothers, Inc. Sheron honors the enduring legacy of her son, Staff Sergeant Darrel D. Kasson. SSG Kasson was a decorated soldier, a Tucson native, and an Arizona Corrections Officer who was killed in action in Iraq in 2007. Today, Sheron channels this profound sacrifice into patriotic action, providing crucial local support to veterans and military families through her foundation.
