Our September guest author is Carol Ricks. In her featured book, Rumpled Brown Bag, she gives us a genuine and heartfelt narrative of a young woman’s personal journey of self-awareness and growth as she travels through the enduring struggles for justice and equality. History is Intertwined with humor, hope, and hard truths to challenge ignorance while she takes steps to help create a more inclusive world. Her friendship with Ezzy and his rumpled brown bag takes her from naivety into growth. It does not shy away from confronting difficult truths but the story mirrors the challenges many face.
