The late-day light is ideal for capturing warm colors and long shadows. This is a private residence. You can unload your gear in the driveway, then park along Benfield Road.
The property offers open fields, gardens, a historic barn, and views toward Silver Star Mountain and Mount Adams.

Directions from Portland
1. Take I-84 East to Exit 22 (past the Gresham and Troutdale exits).
2. At the end of the ramp, turn right onto Corbett Hill Road.
3. Follow Corbett Hill Road uphill until it ends (about 1.5 miles).
4. Turn left (east) onto the Scenic Highway, also called the Historic Columbia River Highway or Crown Point Highway.
5. Travel east for about ¼ mile, passing the Corbett Market on your left.
6. At the Corbett Fire Hall (on your right), make a slight angled left onto NE Benfield Loop Road.
7. Look for a single-story house with brown cedar siding, a circular driveway, and a large barn on the left, this is the house/office/farm.
