Slow & Steady Science (With Indian Creek Nature Center)

It’s a shellebration of turtles! Meet Peter, the Iowa Children’s Museum’s resident turtle, and discover what life is like for wild turtles with our friends from Indian Creek Nature Center.

During Slow and Steady Science, kids can explore turtle habitats, learn about Iowa’s native turtle species, and get creative with other turtle-themed activities. From Peter’s tank to the rivers and ponds of Iowa, discover what makes turtles so fascinating—because slow and steady really does win the race!
