Novel Conversations

Novel Conversations is a book group that alternates between classic novels and more recent works of fiction and nonfiction.

Participants are welcome to come to all the meetings or just those that sound interesting. Multiple copies of each book are available for checkout in the library and are, whenever possible, made available in large print, audiobook, and ebook editions.

Novel Conversations meets on the third Thursday of each month at 6:00 pm in the Board Room and on Zoom. Email Mike Jorgensen for the Zoom link.

In December join Novel Conversations for a discussion of "The Haunting of Hill House" by Shirley Jackson.

In this gothic horror novel, four seekers arrive at Hill House to investigate the paranormal. What they don’t know is that the unexplained happenings are just a taste of what is to come, and that Hill House is gathering its strength to make one of the four its own. “The books that have profoundly scared me…are few…but Shirley Jackson’s The Haunting of Hill House beat them all” (Neil Gaiman).
