Please join us for the 2025 Trinity River Challenge. You have two options for distance 6 miles and 12 miles.
17 AND UNDER RACE FOR FREE!!!!!!
Bring a youth 17 of age or younger and they race for free. There will be a 2 mile section that will be raced @11:30ish.12-17 can race solo or tandem. 11 and under will need to be with an adult.
Same day registration will be from 7:45am-8:15am followed by a Pre-race meeting at 8:30am.

*Surf skis will be placed in the unlimited class unless there is enough to have their own class.
Race Start:
The 12mile class will start at 9:00am and the 6mile class will start at 9:30am at the concrete boat ramp on the north side of Sandy Lake Road. The 6 mile racers will paddle up to the Hwy 35 bridge and do a buoy turn back down to the buoy finish line. The 12 mile racers will paddle up to the Hebron Parkway Kayak Launch and do a buoy turn back down to the buoy finish line. OC1 is at your own risk. I have seen it done with no damage. I have also seen it done with rudder damage. So it is up to you to know the course.
No alcoholic beverages will be allowed at the launch site or on the course.
Portages are authorized along the river banks as long as there is no possible path on the river.
All participants are required to have a US Coast Guard approved vest type life jacket in the boat for the number of people in the boat. Follow all state and local laws.
Any Canoe class is required to be paddled with a single blade paddle. No kayak paddles. Also, no rudders allowed in Canoe classes.
Same day registration will be from 7:45am-8:15am followed by a Pre-race meeting at 8:30am. This will ensure we can promptly begin the race at 9:00am.
Boat numbers will be placed on the left side of boat.
