Luciaoptog i kajak/圣卢西亚节皮划艇游行

Copenhagen Christmas event: This year we'll attend the famous local 'Lucia in kayak' - an annual Copenhagen tradition that puts a spin on a beloved Scandinavian Christmas tradition, Saint Lucia's parade (da: Luciaoptog).
Traditionally this is a parade of young girls (and a few boys) dressed in white and holding candles, who enter dark rooms while singing the 'Lucia song' - in Copenhagen it is however also performed by people sailing in kayaks through the central parts of the city's harbour and canals.
The parade is free to watch, but follows a set schedule. For those who want to join our group event, we will meet early at the canal right outside BLOX (the side with the BLOX café facing away from the harbour itself) and position ourselves so we can get good spots for viewing the parade when it comes. We will meet early to get good spots, but you can join any time - the kayak boats will come by around 18:10/晚上6点10.
Please click the 'attend button' if you plan to join - it's local custom to sing along on the Lucia song, and I will try to bring sheets with the lyrics in both Danish and Chinese for everyone joining, so we can all sing along (if they want - no pressure) as the parade sails by.

Bring warm clothes - the café BLOX Eats will have hot drinks and Danish Christmas treats to help keep warm while we wait for the parade.
