Den 30. november 2025 rulles den røde løber ud på Bremen Teater, når den danske roots scene og publikum samles for at hylde roots musikken. Kom med til femte udgave af Danish Music Awards Roots 2025, hvor vi fejrer alt fra Årets Traditionspris til Årets Branchepris, og selvfølgelig Årets Danske Rootsnavn og -track, -udgivelse, og -album ⭐️

Når DMA Roots afholdes i år, bliver aftenen ledt an af musikjournalist og P6 Beat radiovært Carsten Holm og den sønderjyske singer-songwriter Rikke Thomsen, som aftenens værter. De tager hånd om aftenens program, de mange nominerede og publikum hele vejen igennem seks DMA-prisoverrækkelser, tre overrækkelser af særpriser og tre live acts.
DMA Roots er siden 2020 blevet afholdt hvert år af genreorganisationen for roots musik i Danmark, TEMPI. Eventet fejrer netop roots; en genre, som i de senere år har fået stadig større bevågenhed i en bredere musikalsk bevidsthed. Eksempelvis har artister som AySay, JJ Paulo og Dreamers’ Circus modtaget priser ved DMA Roots i de forgangne år.

On November 30, 2025, the red carpet will be rolled out at Bremen Teater as the Danish roots scene and its audience come together to celebrate roots music. Join us for the fifth edition of the Danish Music Awards Roots 2025, where we’ll honor everything from the Tradition Award to the Industry Award—and of course, the Danish Roots Name, Track, Release, and Album of the Year ⭐️
This year’s DMA Roots ceremony will be hosted by music journalist and P6 Beat radio personality Carsten Holm, together with the Southern Jutland singer-songwriter Rikke Thomsen. They’ll guide the evening’s program, the many nominees, and the audience through six DMA award presentations, three special awards, and three live performances.
Since 2020, DMA Roots has been held annually by Denmark’s genre organization for roots music, TEMPI. The event is a celebration of roots—a genre that in recent years has gained increasing attention in the wider musical landscape. Artists such as AySay, JJ Paulo, and Dreamers’ Circus have all received awards at previous DMA Roots editions.
Look forward to yet another fantastic live show this year! This time, a lineup of top-tier roots musicians will take the stage!
