This evening we will be diving into the marvelous world of flogging - a tool with a history of corporal punishment but also a revered tool in the k!nk toolbox for going deep into a sadomasochist dynamic, and everything from lighter sensation play to heavy impact sessions.
We will focus on the different types of floggers, and where on the body you can use them. Together we will practice different techniques for keeping the flogger under control and hitting various parts of the body, and we will dive into how to communicate during a flogging session to enhance the play and make sure everyone is safer.
Most of all we will do lots of flogging to widen our knowledge and experience with this wonderful tool. We will explore the dynamics of impact play and why the flogger can be such an intense and interesting tool to use for creating deep, playful, and connected k!nk sessions.
We will start out with a couple of exercises to feel into our boundaries for the evening and talk explicitly about the rules of the workshop to create a safer space.
WHO IS THIS FOR?
Whether you are a complete beginner or just want to deepen your knowledge of flogging and practice your skills, this workshop offers you a chance to dig deeper and connect with other flogging-curious souls.
CAN I JOIN AS A BEGINNER?
Yes, you do not need any prior experience.
DO I NEED A PARTNER?
You can come alone, in pairs or as a group. The exercises are practical, physical, and hands-on. You’ll be invited to work with different people in various combinations throughout the workshop, giving you the chance to co-create in a fluid, collective experience. While we encourage openness to different people and genders in exercises, you may choose to play exclusively with your partner(s) if that feels right for you.
DRESSCODE
Bring clothes you feel comfortable in and maybe something that contributes to you feeling extra up for the task of giving and receiving a flogging! When receiving, having clothes that cover your skin may reduce the sensation of the flogging, which can both be a benefit or an annoyance so we encourage you to keep that in mind.

Bring your own floggers if you have any. We have some you can borrow too.

Doors open at 18:30 for you to arrive early and get settled.
We start at 19:00 - you cannot arrive after the workshop starts!

ABOUT THE FACILITATOR
Dunbear (they/them)
Dunbear is a hedonist and practitioner of s3x magic. They have been hosting play parties and s3x positive workshops in Copenhagen since 2016, and are a co-creator of K!nky Salon Copenhagen, one of the city’s most colorful s3x positive parties. Dunbear has an exploratory and expansive approach to 8DSM, seeking to emphasize the playful nature of s3x. This makes House of Play a natural fit for them. They prioritize community building, and see s3xual liberation as a tool to undermine the abstraction and isolation of capitalist society, gender norms, patriarchy, and the meaninglessness of daily life.
