(English)
Experience a very special evening at Copenhagen Contemporary with drinks and an exclusive guided tour of the Soft Robots exhibition.
Hear unique behind‑the‑scenes stories from the art world when CC Director and curator of the exhibition, Marie Laurberg, discusses her collaboration with the artists and lifts the veil on some of the many considerations that went into bringing the show to life.
The exhibition’s concept is inspired by H.C. Andersen’s classic fairy tale The Nightingale (1843), in which a mechanical (robot) bird is set in contrast to the genuine nightingale’s natural, life‑giving song. This dualism is then unraveled through a series of pan‑Asian philosophies of life, where the notion of objects having a soul opens the door to a closer relationship between technology and biology.
The exhibition presents works by:
