Explore the art and science of movement training!
This workshop will focus on Creative variations of common fitness exercises, adding spice to the sometimes bland gym recipe of "push, pull, legs, core, cardio." AGILE BEAST approaches fitness practices from the perspective of our species' evolution, developing workout protocols that make deep sense to the human animal. Modern understandings of anatomy and kinesiology are also highlighted, helping ensure that our physical training respects the health of our skeleton and soft tissue structures.
"Poetics of Athletics" follows on the heels of the "Social Animals" workshop earlier this year. You can still join even if you did not participate in the previous workshop.

ABOUT THE TEACHER
Sebastian Grubb is an award-winning movement coach and dance artist based in California. He started his twin careers as a fitness trainer and professional contemporary dancer in 2006, became a certified Axis Syllabus teacher in 2011, and birthed AGILE BEAST in 2018. A.B. combines fitness training, contact dance, corrective exercise and biomechanics into an updated exercise platform for modern human primates.
