https://qpws.usedirect.com/QPWS/Customers/Login.aspx) You’ll require a weekly pass $38 (can be purchased at the same time as your camping permit)
- Noosa River Ferry is $32 return for vehicles up to 5.5m - EFTPOS available on the ferry
Camping: Teewah beach camping Zone 3 - Book via national parks website $7.50 per night
IT IS A REQUIREMENT NOW THAT ALL CAMPERS BRING & UTILISE THEIR OWN CHEMICAL TOILET
Trip Details:
- We'll meet at the Car Wash as listed above, due to ease & the possibility of NOT being able to fit the entire convoy on the one ferry.
- Drive up the beach to camping zone 3. Once setup at camp, we will continue up the beach, crossing the Leisha Track to the Lagoon side of Double Island Point. We’ll then spend the day at Double Island Point. BYO food, water, shade & beach games. There may even be a BJC beach volleyball or cricket match. This is a family friendly trip at the beach to relax & catch up with your fellow Jeepers.
- Time permitting with tides & curiosity of participants, we?ll head back across the Leisha Track & take a walk up to the lighthouse to enjoy spectacular views.
- Sunday morning option is to drive up the beach again, travelling along the Freshwater Rd to the Bymien Day use area. Take a 4km return hike to visit Poona Lake. (Freshwater Lake suitable for swimming)
While the official finish time is midday on Sunday, feel free to depart at whatever time suits you.
NO FIRES ARE PERMITTED ALONG TEEWAH BEACH
Minimum safety gear for all BJC trips:
Enclosed footwear is mandatory for all off road trips except beach trips
Rated vehicle tow hooks front and rear. A Hayman Reese recovery adaptor is good for the rear tow hook.

UHF two way, handheld is fine
Visitors can do two trips
Pets are not permitted on club trips
Alcohol is not to be consumed by drivers or passengers on runs
No illegal drugs or firearms are permitted at any time.
It is recommended that you:
Take sufficient water and food for the duration of the trip
Fill up with petrol before you arrive at the meeting point
Take sunscreen, insect repellent and a hat.
The following trip ratings are used for BJC club trips:
EASY
Type of driving: Mainly high range 4WDing with some low range possible.
Locations: Typically, forestry trails or beach runs. Eg Mt Mee, Double Island Point, Condamine
Expected terrain: Mostly unsealed roads with minor obstacles and minor gradients or beach driving (hard and soft sand). May have shallow water crossings.
Vehicle suitability: Suitable for stock clearance with dual range and road tyres.
Recovery Equipment: Recovery equipment for every trip is as per club standards.
Driver experience: Suitable for all, including novice drivers.
