Scorpion Pinning Class

Experience the art of entomology as you learn to pin a real Thai Forest Scorpion! Lead by Kristin Silver of Silver Moon Curiosities, this class will cover distribution, anatomy, sourcing, rehydration, pinning, unpinning, moutning, and aftercare.

General admission includes your scorion, pinning kit, shadowbox frame with white or black matting, and a blacklight to enjoy the natural glow of your scorpion at home. Upgrade to a 5x6" glass dome with accoutrements to create a personality for your lovely arthropod, available as an add-on at purchase.

This class is designed for all skill levels, ages 14 and up. We will be using Ca+ glue with an accelerant spray in class. Each ticket is for one seat. Due to space constraints, no guests or spectators will be allowed in class.

Please arrive up to 10 minutes prior to the start time to sign in. Learners under the age of 18, please arrive with an adult to check in.

*Students with shellfish sensitivities should note that some species of arthrpopds (moths, scorpions, butterflies, and beetles) can produce similar reactions. Gloves will be available if needed.
