Register for this 8-week knitting course, starting on Tuesday, February 3rd, and running through March 24th, from 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM. Limited to 8 spots

This class is perfect for everyone, whether you have never picked up knitting needles before or you want to become a more confident knitter. New knitters will learn basic stitches, how to read a pattern, and how to choose yarn, all while working towards completing a pair of mittens. If you're just looking for a refresher or need assistance with a challenging part of a pattern, feel free to bring whatever you’re working on, and we’ll tackle it together!
You will build skills such as working with charts and using multiple colors simultaneously. You’ll also learn to take on more complex projects like sweaters, hats, and Christmas stockings. Beginning students should bring one pair of size 5, 6, or 7 needles (bamboo is recommended for new knitters, but metal needles are also acceptable) and one ball of midweight (worsted weight) yarn in a light color to the first class.
If you sign up for the eight-week course but find that you are unable to attend, we kindly ask that you notify the library. This will allow us to offer your spot to another patron who may be waiting for an opening.
