What is a Death Guide/Doula?

This program, scheduled for Wednesday, March 4th at 6:00 PM, will focus on the vital role of an end-of-life guide and how this support can benefit individuals of all ages. Andrew Nelson, a certified death guide and doula with over 10 years of experience, will address the most common question: What is a death guide or doula? We invite community members to join us and discover how to support one another during life’s final stages.

The program will cover essential topics, including end-of-life reviews, legacy projects, family dynamics surrounding death, vigil planning, and strategies for addressing issues related to the body and ceremonies. Additionally, participants will learn how to navigate challenging situations, such as sudden loss, and provide support for those facing their own death. There will also be an opportunity for attendees to ask questions and further explore these important subjects.
