Robert Burns grew up in Stanwood and discovered a relative who grew up in Blanchard had investigated the history of Equality Colony, interviewing many former colonists. Mr. Burns became intrigued by the history of the socialist colony and its place in the history of the early 20th century. Mr. Burns will share his knowledge and journey writing the newly published book, "Rebels in the Wild - The Equality Colony and the Taming of American Capitalism."
