The Arpeggione Ensemble will perform the original 1922 score for the silent horror classic Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror, presenting the film as it was first experienced by early moviegoers. The ensemble, which performs on historical instruments from the early 20th century, fills a unique niche, as the original musical score by Hans Erdmann was lost for many years after the film's premiere. By combining the influential film with its authentic soundtrack, the ensemble offers a chilling and immersive experience that draws in vintage aficionados and horror fans alike. With its instrumentation including a period harmonium, strings, and winds, Arpeggione provides a unique window into the past, delivering a performance that recaptures the intended drama and atmosphere of one of cinema's most important early horror movies.
