Join Us for a Community Book Discussion: "The Serviceberry" by Robin Wall Kimmerer

The Hopkinton Historical Society and the Hopkinton Town Library invite everyone to a special book discussion on Thursday, October 16 at 7:00 PM, hosted at the Hopkinton Historical Society at 300 Main Street in Hopkinton. We will be discussing "The Serviceberry" by Robin Wall Kimmerer, the #1 bestselling author of "Braiding Sweetgrass." In this thought-provoking book, Kimmerer explores themes of reciprocity, interconnectedness, and gratitude, using the serviceberry tree as a metaphor for how we might reimagine our relationships with nature and with each other. Just as the serviceberry distributes its abundance to support the natural world, our community thrives when we give, share, and care for one another. This event is presented in conjunction with the Society’s 2025 exhibit, “Thank You, Hopkinton,” which demonstrates the strength of community through acts of kindness, generosity, and connection.

Copies of the book are available to borrow from the Hopkinton Town Library, or may be purchased at a 20% discount at MainStreet BookEnds, located at 16 E. Main St. in Warner.
