Conneaut Arts Center October Art Exhibit - Chris Davis "Records of Ashtabula"

“Records of Ashtabula” is a never-before displayed series of paintings by lifelong Ashtabula County resident, Artist, and Art Instructor Chris Davis. This exhibit is both a tribute to his hometown and to the renowned artists who have influenced his love for art. The purpose is to combine the history and beauty of Ashtabula County with art history by using direct inspiration from famed Artists with very recognizable and distinguished styles who have influenced the history and world of visual arts such as Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dalí, Claude Monet, Edward Hopper, Norman Rockwell, and many more. Chris chose to paint this series on recycled vinyl records because he wanted to do something outside of the norm; something original, unique, and interesting that each painting can only be a one of a kind.

Join us for the free public reception on October 5th to celebrate the opening of this incredible gallery. Free admission and light refreshments!
