Halloween Neurospicy Family Autistic Spectrum Friendly Half-Term Fun
Halloween fun for neurodivergent kids - pottery painting, nature crafts, games & trail in Wild Spirit Woods & giant tipi! Adults go free.

About this Event

Neuro-spicy Halloween Family Fun Child Ticket - Parents/Carers go free

A wild spirited welcome in the woods awaits. Strictly limited numbers per session and once the tickets are gone that’s it. Our traditional Halloween celebrates the light ensuring a magical non-scary time.

There’s no electronics, no blaring noise, no bright flashing lights, and no acres of plastic tat. This is out in nature with space to relax, get some fresh air, and stretch your legs. We have a giant tipi where the crafting will take place and the included snacks and drinks will be available.

Sound: nature sounds, crackling fire, people and children chatting. Smell: fresh air, some wood smoke. Taste: warm drink and biscuit but with alternatives, we have various squashes and normal biscuits to choose from too. Sight: nature setting, craft activities, fire.

For our PDA visitors there’s no timed activities. While the session isn’t timetabled as such, we’d recommend doing your pottery painting activity first to give it chance to dry.

As with the other dates listed (see our other events), this too has the same limited numbers so this should help with overwhelm. This is a quiet relaxed event with plenty of space to stretch your legs and move about outside.

There are body double and parallel play opportunities. Parents if you want to join in with pottery painting the charge will £8 per item. Please order via our website.

The ticket price is Exactly The Same as for our other sessions with the Same Offerings. There will also be a chill out space, blankets, a weighted blanket, and fidget toys too.

We have chosen a peak Sunday slot for you because we know families can’t always take time off in the week. We don’t believe our neuro-spicy families should pay more.

We have lots of experience with neuro-spicy kids and we are neuro-spicy too. So, absolutely no judgement here and you will be surrounded by other neuro- spicy families, so plenty of understanding all around. This event has been planned by our volunteer director, an SEN teacher with experience of neurodivergence as well as being AuDHD herself. Our fellow volunteer director also has a child with high special needs. So you will be in good understanding company.

You have 3 hours to enjoy what’s on offer.

One ticket provides your child with 3 hours to enjoy:

1. Pottery Painting

2. Nature crafting activities

3. Traditional Halloween games – non competitive

4. Hot Halloween drink and biscuit (Don’t worry squashes available too)

5. Halloween Trail around the woods

6. Decorated bright colourful tipi with fire bowl (with fireguard)

7. Plenty of undercover space

8. Goody Bag with simple craft activity, sweets, and stickers

9. You are welcome to bring a picnic/food drink - we understand yor child may not want what is on offer and we also understand you want to bring your own items.

Come dressed in costume! We suggest wellies or boots for walking around in. We can’t guarantee the weather so come prepared.

We have the large tipi and there will also be shelters outside.

NOTE! Please book a carpark ticket or park down the hill. We have limited car parking.

You must attend on time and date you paid for as places are strictly limited and booked and paid for in advance.

DIRECTIONS:
We have a gravel parking area on site at Wild Spirit Woods for cars. The site is very easy to access by car.

Wether you are coming from Congleton OR Biddulph, turn off the main road called Biddulph Road A 527, and take the immediate first left up Congleton Edge Road (Boundary Lane is what you turn on to, but it literally is Congleton Edge Road as you turn off the main Road). We are half way up between the start of the road and Nick i'th'Hill Memorial Garden and village at the end of the road.

Do NOT use postcode in your satnav! It sends you somewhere else.
The What 3 Words location is drop.useful.villa

The lane has lots of passing places and fairly broad in parts and good visibility so you can see what is coming. We are on the right hand side as you drive up. You will see wooden gates open with banners and flags. We are very visible!
