Free bus shuttle Saturday and Sunday 10:00 till closing. Pick up at Turkeyfoot School and American Legion in Ursina. Shuttle runs continuously.
Bed Race is planned with the same rules as last year. Looking for 3 more entries. If we get no one we will take 3 named teams and use the bed that is registered. A disclosure must be signed by each participant. In this case teams will be timed. The racecourse will be on Oden Street approximately 100 yards South turn around and 100 yards North. Trophies will be awarded only with no entry fee. Race judge's decision is final. First 3 teams will be included. Remember this applies if we get no other beds.

RACE GOALS: To have fun and provide Family Fun Entertainment To compete for prize money. REGISTERED TEAMS WILL: 1. Plan a 5-member Race team with 4 pushers and 1 rider. A $25.00 registry or $5.00 for each team member of each team. Teams must be registered before September 15. There is currently 1 team registered. We need 3 more teams. First 3 to register will be included. Theme and costume attire is STRONGLY ENCOURAGED, keep in mind this is a FAMILY VENUE. (vulgarity or profanity will not be permitted, please) All racers & riders must wear appropriate footwear Make up your own theme, gather your Family, Friends, Teammates or Coworkers 2. Construct & decorate a race bed based on rules below. Sponsors are encouraged with ad displayed in the decoration. Decorations must be removed for the race. Team Captains will go over the rules with the race director prior to the race. All beds should be at the designated starting point by 11:30. 3. Two Teams will race their bed creation on Oden Street in Confluence on Sunday 12:00 PM. Race will start near the Community center and go South on Oden Street turning at a designated spot and racing back to the start finish line with all participants crossing the line. All beds must stay in their own designated lane. A 5 second penalty will added on per each infraction. BED RACE RULES: 4. BED DESIGN: Beds must have a full-size mattress on it that safely supports the rider. Bed must have Headboard and footboard. Beds may have push bars on each corner of the bed not extending more than 16 inches. Beds must be a full size including a mattress; pads do not qualify. Beds must be designed with four functional wheels no more than 12 inches in diameter swivel or not that make contact with the race surface at all times. No motorized or mechanical assistance allowed, no steering, braking, turbos, nitrous or traction control devices … All beds will be inspected prior to racing for safety and mechanical issues. Safety: All bed racers must sign the Waiver of Liability and acknowledgement of the race rules and regulations prior to participating in the event. Racing rules: Teams may consist of male and female contestants. Contestants age must be 14 and up. All contestants under 18 must have a parent sign a waiver. Race configuration will be limited to 4 teams with 2 teams racing at a time. Winner will move on to race the next winner (tbd by race director) Bed riders must lay flat on the bed, standing is forbidden. All runners/pushers must be in control of their bed until it comes to a complete stop. Teams may not interfere with the progress of an opposing team. No Alcohol permitted. We are limiting the competition this year to 4 beds. The Bed Race director will let team captains pull numbers to determine where they start. Number 1 will race number 2 and number 3 will race number 4. The 1st winning bed will then race 2nd winner. The losing beds will race to determine 3rd and 4th place..
Awards: $200 to 1st PlaceTeam. $100 to 2nd Place and $75 to 3rd Place and $25 to 4th place. Trophies will also be awarded. All beds (Decorated) are urged to participate in the annual parade.
