**********************************************************************
This is a free event and no fee is required. But for those who can afford it, we do encourage you to provide a donation of $20 to $30. All proceeds will go towards two outcomes, including: 1) assisting with the cost of renting the Union Bay Community Hall and 2) savings towards the next Island Vanlife Meeting (June 2025).
This will be the nineth meetup!! Wow! We will be continuing to plan these events every 4 months or so hopefully far into the future. Our goal is to provide a consistent and regular source of community for those living life on the road.
This event is a chance to build community with those who enjoy life on the road. To get together for the weekend, get out of the cold, share food, play games and trade stories and tips for life on the road.
The event will be located at the Union Bay Community Club (see the details of the hall in the link below).

We have rented the entire hall which includes a commercial kitchen, dining hall, gymnasium and bathrooms and parking for 2 nights. Photos of the hall and facilities are provided on the website.
The event will begin at 3pm on Friday (February 13th) and end at 12pm on Sunday (February 15th).
Around the community hall, there is a bunch of opportunities for trail walking, beach combing, boating (if you have one), a very well stocked General Store, historical post office and museum and a few other local shops.
Facilities at the community hall will include a large dining area, where everyone can congregate at any time of the day and evenings, a large kitchen, gymnasium for games and perhaps even a movie on the big screen, bathrooms with flush toilets and opportunities for charging devices.
A light schedule for the event will is as follows:
• Potluck dinner on both Friday and Saturday night (bring your favorite dishes/treats to share if you can);
o A large local meat (roast or chicken) with all the fixings will be prepared and provided for Friday nights potluck;
• Bakeoff on Saturday afternoon for those interested in showing off their baked goods skills;
• Forest or beach walks on Saturday afternoon and/or Sunday morning;
If anyone has any ideas for things they would like to see at the event, please feel free to post your ideas and we will do our best to accommodate.
Looking forward to seeing you all there!
