Sanctum~with Cashmere
Halloooo beautiful dance community! I am thrilled to be facilitating dance temple this coming weekend for perhaps the last dance at Innisfree farm this season! (weather depending).
As autumn deepens, we gather in the spirit of harvest, to honor the seeds we’ve sown, the fruits we’ve reaped, and the journeys that have brought us here. Together, we’ll celebrate the abundance of our efforts and dance in gratitude for how far we’ve come.
Yet the wheel turns, and the light wanes. In the months ahead, we descend into the fertile darkness, a season of mystery, rest, and inner sanctuary. In community we'll step into our sanctum, carrying the warmth of harvest within us and a guiding flame through the lengthening night.
Born and raised on the vibrant west coast, Cashmere's (aka Lisa Larkin) lifelong passion for music and dance led her to embrace DJing many moons ago. After a hiatus dedicated to nurturing her children, she's back with fierce inspiration and determination, crafting sonic odysseys that captivate Dance Temple and a myriad of events and festivals across Vancouver Island. Notably, she's delighted audiences opening for Goopsteppa at the Waverly Hotel. also gracing stages at Cumberland Wild, Otherworld, Belonging, Pachena Bay and the Woodstove Festival.
Currently inspired by various styles of House (including progressive, melodic, ethnic, bass, deep, tech )Bass, Downtempo, Drum and Bass (and more!), Cashmere interlaces a feminine energy into her mixes. Her sets have been praised for their soft, gentle allure as well as their enticing, profound depths. She aspires to evoke movement, emotions, a sense of the sacred and deep release through the music she thoughtfully curates.
Firmly convinced that music and movement are potent healers, capable of transforming the human experience, Cashmere is ecstatic to share her boundless love and fervor for these art forms with the world.

In this space we collectively agree to:
*Develop compassion, awareness, acceptance
*No talking on the dance floor
*No cellphones
*No instruments
*No photography
*No drugs, alcohol, or other intoxicants.
*** No glass allowed on the farm, please leave all glass items at home ***
*Tops to be worn throughout the dance and around the property for all gender expressions, bikini top is the minimum coverage requested by the landowners, please be respectful of this boundary.
::ON BOUNDARIES & TOUCH::
We recognize that touch and physical proximity can mean different things to different people. In this space we practice self-awareness of our own bodies, and the ways in which we engage with the moving bodies of others. We define consent as freely given, enthusiastic agreement for mutual participation.
WHEN APPROACHING OTHERS:
*Make no assumptions!
Look for a yes, look for eye contact
*Respect any no (including when someone is ignoring you or moves away from you)
*Respect a Solo Dancer’s right to their space.
* Do not engage in physical touch without clear consent.
This is a transformational space for dance, healing, prayer, laughter, joy, sadness and everything in between.
