Writing Mysteries in Tandem with MJ Williams

M. J. Williams is the pen name of sisters-in-law Peggy Joque Williams and Mary Joy Johnson (nee Williams). Peggy is an elementary school teacher and freelance writer, and Mary Joy is a retired college professor and professional quilter. Their On the Road... mystery series features RV travelers Emily and Stan Remington as they travel through Wisconsin locations and other places.

Peggy also writes under her own name, and is currently working on the sequel to her 2024 historical novel, Courting the Sun: A Novel of Versailles, her debut novel which captures the vibrancy and quandaries of 17th century life for a village girl seeking love and excitement during the dangerous reign of the Sun King.

The duo will discuss the writing process in general, writing mysteries, and how two writers who are related to one another manage to write murder mysteries together without generating a real-life crime scene of their own.

Seating is limited, so please plan to arrive early. As always, this program is free and open to the public.
